Fuse board replacement / upgrade.
There are many reason that a fuse board (consumer unit) will require replacement or an upgrade.
Before a consumer unit is replaced it is necessary to check that all the circuits
connected to it are safe. If there are any faults or unsafe parts of the installation
then these will need to be rectified as part of the consumer unit replacement. Upon
completion of the work an Installation certificate will be issued that will prove
the safety of the installation. This type of work is also included in part P of the
building regulations and so is notifiable to the local building authority. Our membership
with NAPIT’s competent person scheme allows us to take care of the notification procedure
for you. A few days after notifying the LBA of the works, you should receive a certificate
of notification from them.
